Bringing the Gospel to the World

How You Can Help

First of all, Meet the Ellabell Congregation

As you can see the church in Ellabell is small. We average about 30 brethren now. The picture of our sign is a little out of dat. However, when a few families are sick or away, these numbers are not unreal. You might think that the work we are doing in West Africa would be too much for a congregation our size. It is more possible than you might think. We have so much here brethren that we have the luxery of taking it for granted. We can all spare some each month.

We are looking for a few congregations or individuals to help us support these two men. When I mention this, many think I am speaking of hundreds of dollars. If you can afford that, it would be great. But, for many of us, other amounts would be more suitable. If you or your congregation could afford to send $10.00 a month, it would go a long way to help Tom and Abasiama preach God's word.

How do you know this is genuine? I sympathize. Many of you have come to this site because you got a form letter in the mail. I get many of these a week and wonder if they are genuine. Unfortunatley in this day and time, it is a genuine concern. I will mail anyone who asks a complete financial statement, pictures of the work in West Africa, and copies of the recent emails between Tom, Abasiama, and I. You have come this far, why not go a little further, contact me for more information. Of the three of us, I have the easy job, raising funds. Tom and Abasiama are preaching the Gospel in  often hostile environments.

Please contact me.

I am in the process of sending email copies of our bulletin. Much of the communication between us and Africa is found there. Email me and I will put you on the list.

Just to show you the level of commitment we have to African missions here in Ellabell, here is one of our members who was sent a gift from Brother Tom in Nigeria. (The gift was a shirt). When this shirt came for him Wednesday, he put it on immediatley. This clothing, while popular in Africa, is not common in Geargia. Afterall, this is Georgia. Brother Charles told me "See if I don't wear it to church Sunday."  This picture was taken that Sunday at his insistance. Brother Charles explained to me that this shirt was very precious to him as Tom thought enough of him to send it to him.

New page on the site

Before you leave, look at the navigation bar at the top right. A new page has been added to assist you in downloading a powerpoint presentation about this work. It takes a little time to download but I think you will find it worth the wait.
